Dwayne Johnson is still disappointed about his recent movie's failure and has opened up about it.

Despite the low ratings, the movie, Smashing Machine, didn't fail him and brought him a Golden Globe nomination and plenty of Oscar buzz.

Although he received a lot of praise for his hard work and for his transformation, he kept expecting a Academy Award, but it seemed like he was snubbed.

Now, opening up about the topic to Esquire, he revealed how, with failure, he gained motivation, and now he is all pumped up to do extra efforts.

He stated, "It would have been incredible to get nominated for an Oscar,"

The 54-year-old added, "I realised very quickly that it’s a rare thing to reach this pinnacle where you’re even having these conversations. And it’s exciting!"

Dwayne also revealed that he "wished" for him to get nominated for the Oscars, but unfortunately, it didn't happen.

"It would have been amazing. I wish it happened. But it didn’t. “But in no uncertain terms did I ever think, ‘Oh, that doesn’t matter’. I always thought it mattered. And it has lit a fire in my spine, which is: Let’s go back to work."

It is to be noted that as of yet, the movie is marked as the lowest opening weekend of Dwayne Johnson’s entire career with $5.9 million domestically.
