Olivia Rodrigo drops shocking truth about health

Olivia Rodrigo has given an honest health update, revealing partial deafness in her left ear during a UK radio appearance.

On June 10, the 23-year-old singer made an appearance on KISS FM UK, where she reflected on her forthcoming third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, with hosts Tyler West and Chloe Burrows ahead of its June 12 release.

During the conversation, West referenced her track What’s Wrong with Me? and playfully asked, “What is actually wrong with you?”

“There's quite a lot that's wrong with me,” she said with a laugh. “I'm actually like, 60% deaf in my left ear. So, if you were to sit on this side of me [points to her left] and try to tell me a secret, I couldn't make out what you were saying.”

“So, if you tell me a secret, go right ear,” she added.

Burrows reacted in surprise, saying, “That is amazing because you're a singer and you always have headphones,” calling the revelation “crazy.”

Rodrigo has previously spoken about her hearing condition. In December 2023, she revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she learned she was partially deaf as a child during school hearing tests.
