American pop star Taylor Swift is arguably the biggest musician of the 21st century.
The global icon’s upcoming album is promising to be an all time hit with major pop vibes.
However, a recent sneak peak ahead of the album’s release has left public feeling concerned about the tone of the album.
Taylor announced her twelfth studio album The Life of a Showgirl on her partner Travis Kelce’s podcast New Heights.
The album is se to drop this week on October 3.
A pre-released album lyric is being heavily criticised for being “tone-deaf”.
The lyric “Oftentimes it doesn't feel so glamorous to be me”, can be seen in a video posted by Rolling Stones.
It is unclear which song the lyric is from as it was written on the mirror in red lipstick.
One Reddit user wrote, “Even if it turns out to be a great song, this is an awful lyric to lead with PRwise.”
Another wrote “What an odd thing to say considering what most people are going through today”, commenting on the political climate of the world.
Taylor officially became a billionaire with her primary source of income being music creation and merchandise. Since then, the singer has been criticised for being a “capitalist”.
