Paris Hilton has declared herself the ultimate trendsetter of the noughties and she’s not shy about it.

The 45-year-old heiress says she feels “so happy and proud” seeing the return of Y2K fashion, insisting the iconic era of velour tracksuits, low-rise jeans and glittering accessories has come full circle, with her firmly at the centre of it all.

Speaking candidly, Paris gushed that today’s biggest designers are looking back at her old looks for inspiration.

“It makes me so proud,” she said, adding that it’s “so much fun” to see people rocking outfits she once made famous.

And in true tabloid fashion, she didn’t hold back as boldly claiming she was the one who “really created Y2K fashion”.

But fashion isn’t the only thing Paris believes she helped shape.

The reality TV star also took credit for paving the way in the world of social media, calling herself the “OG” of building a personal brand online long before influencers ruled the internet.

According to her, the digital age has flipped the script.

“Everyone has their own platform now,” she said, praising how people can take control of their image and build empires straight from their phones, just like she did.

And she’s not done yet as after launching her online store in 2022, the business-savvy star hinted at even bigger plans, teasing immersive shopping experiences in the metaverse.
