Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman make major life decision due to THIS reason

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman have finally decided to reunite after staying out of touch since their split in 2001.

According to Radar Online, a source revealed that the horrific murders of Tom and Nicole’s friends Rob and Michele Reiner pushed the estranged couple to be back together again.

“Tom met Nicole around the same time Rob and Michele became a couple, and their relationships followed a similar arc,” said an insider.

Nicole and Tom were married for 11 years and after their breakup, they tried to stay away from each other.

However, after their friends were stabbed to death back in December, both stars turned to each other.

“They have been reminiscing about how close they were to them when they were a young couple – even going on double dates,” they stated.

For now, both Nicole and Tom are single and therefore, an insider noted that it’s “a huge step because the Babygirl actress and Top Gun actor didn't even speak for so long”.

“But enough time has passed that they've both been able to let it go,” mentioned an insider.

Another source told the outlet that both Nicole and Tom “have had some really positive conversations recently, which has everyone hoping this could actually move forward”.

Looking at Rob and Michele’s death, it finally became “a gut check for Tom about how much he and Nicole shared and still have in common,” shared an insider.

“Finally, they're at a place where they are ready to break bread together,” they added.
