Barbie Ferreira shares anxiety that’s holding her back

Barbie Ferreira has admitted she’s “really scared” of going under the needle, revealing she’s holding off on Botox because she doesn’t want to lose her famously expressive face.

The 29-year-old Euphoria star opened up about her fears, confessing that while she might try the cosmetic treatment one day, she’s in no rush to freeze her features. 

Speaking candidly on the In Your Dreams podcast, Barbie said acting comes first, and for now, that means keeping every eyebrow raise and smile line intact.

“I haven’t done Botox yet because I have to express a face,” she explained. 

“I’m really scared to go down that route. It’ll eventually happen.”

Instead, she has turned to alternative treatments, admitting she prefers lasers like Potenza and previously experimented with Morpheus 8, though she now looks back at starting such intense procedures in her early 20s as a bit extreme.

In fact, she revealed the treatment was so painful she was offered ketamine and laughing gas, but turned it down with a laugh, joking: “I drove here! I’m good!”

Away from beauty pressures, Barbie also reflected on the harsh realities of the modelling world, admitting she once felt her career had an expiry date. 

“At 20, I felt like my time was running out,” she said, noting that models can feel “washed” by their mid-20s.

Now, she’s carved out a balance as she's mixing acting with selective brand deals.
