Keith Urban, who is notable for being a country singer, shocked everyone with his latest move after the couple filed for divorce.
Despite being married for 19 years, the 57-year-old singer and his wife parted ways due to irreconcilable differences.
After the news went viral, a video from the musician's show garnered attention for all the wrong reasons as he changed the lyrics of his song that were meant to be for Nicole.
Instead of his ex-partner, Keith decided to pay tribute to guitarist Maggie Baugh, who originally shared the clip on her Instagram page with the caption, "Did he just say that?"
The Blue Ain’t Your Color singer belted out the lyrics, “When they’re tryna get to you. Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.”
Previously, the New Zealand musician revealed that the track drew inspiration from his fragile phase of his relationship with the Baby Girl actress.
The move raised eyebrows as many criticised him for seemingly replacing the Hollywood star with the 25-year-old.
A netizen pointed out that “dumping Nicole is looking more suspect,” while another was shocked as they wrote: “And now he’s getting divorced.”
It was recently revealed that the Big Little Lies star fought to "save" the marriage but eventually failed. Meanwhile, people close to the couple revealed that they have been living “separately” for some time.
