Netflix unveils first teaser trailer of ‘People We Meet on Vacation’

Netflix finally dropped the highly anticipated People We Meet on Vacation first teaser trailer, sparking reaction from fans.

On September 30, the Emily Henry rom-com adaptation gave insight into a few scenes between the beloved characters, Alex and Poppy.

Fans were overly excited to see that the director added most of their favourite scenes from the books and hoped that they didn’t cut out important moments, unlike other adaptations.

Netizens rushed to the comment section to express their happiness even though the premiere date is three months away.

Notably, People We Meet on Vacation was greenlit by Netflix in August 2024 along with the leading cast members, Tom Blythe and Emily Bader.

The film is an adaptation of the best-selling romance author Emily Henry,, who wrote the book in 2021.

It follows the story of two best friends, Alex and Poppy, who made a pact to go on vacation every year until they suffered a fallout two years prior, which gives Poppy a chance to mend things.

This second-chance romance is directed by Brett Haley and written by Yulin Kuang and Amos Vernon. Aside from the lead actors, other notable cast include Jameela Jamil, Alan Ruck, and Lukas Gage, among others.

For the unversed, People We Meet on Vacation will be released on Netflix on January 9, 2025.
