'Bridgerton': Creators drop major update on season 4

Bridgerton recently received a major update on its upcoming fourth season, which will follow the love story of the youngest brother, Benedict Bridgerton.

On September 29, the official Instagram page of Shondaland, the production company of the show, posted the poster and revealed the debut date for season 4.

The caption read, “One thing is certain, gentle readers, a masquerade is like no other event. Prepare yourselves, for anything can happen. Bridgerton Season 4 shall debut in 2026.”

The poster features the back of the newest female lead, Yerin Ha, who will portray Sophie Baek, the love interest of Benedict, played by Luke Thompson.

Netizens rushed to the comment section to express their excitement over the news. One fan wrote, “The moment we’ve all been waiting for! “Another follower penned, “It shall be a thrilling season, indeed.”

Notably, the show is adapted from a book series by Julia Quinn, which contains eight books with separate stories of all eight Bridgerton siblings.

Previously, the third season followed the friends-to-lovers arc between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, who also ends up revealing herself as Lady Whistledown.

The basic synopsis is set in Regency-era London and focuses on the lives of the aristocrats and their servants.

As of now, further details about the plot and a confirmed release date haven’t been released.
