Shakira, best known for her 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem Waka Waka, returns with a new song for Zootopia 2.
The 48-year-old Colombian singer previously contributed to the original film with Try Everything, which became a worldwide hit.
Notably, the trailer features Shakira latest single, Zoo, written by Ed Sheeran, set to be released as a digital track on October 10.
Walt Disney Animation Studios unveiled the official trailer for Zootopia 2 on September 30, revealing an engaging new storyline.
The movie follows Judy Hopps, the rabbit, and Nick Wilde, the fox, as they take on a detective mission to investigate reptiles and identify the culprit.
Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, the sequel reunites the star-studded cast, including Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Macaulay Culkin, and Ke Huy Quan.
The original Zootopia, released in 2016, was a box office triumph, earning $1.025 billion worldwide and becoming one of the year’s most successful animated features.
Its popularity also led Disney to create the spinoff series Zootopia+, which explored the lives of supporting characters in greater depth.
Shakira made her voice acting debut in the first film as the popstar character Gazelle.
The eagerly awaited follow-up, Zootopia 2, is scheduled to hit cinemas on November 26, 2026.
The movie was renamed due to copyright issues, as the title Zootopia is already used in other countries. In order to avoid conflicts, the film was retitled Zootropolis.
