The Naked Gun is set to begin streaming on Paramount+ on September 30 in the U.S. and Canada.

Directed by Akiva Schaffer, the film was released in theatres worldwide on August 1, starring Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, and more.

A reboot of the ’80s classic, the movie marks the fourth installment in the franchise and follows a man with a very particular set of skills as he takes charge of the Police Squad to save the world, according to the synopsis.

Liam Neeson steps into the role of Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., continuing the legacy of his father, the beloved character originally played by Leslie Nielsen in the classic films.

The movie also boasts cameos from Dave Bautista, Busta Rhymes, and Cody Rhodes, along with Weird Al Yankovic and Priscilla Presley, the latter two being the only returning stars from the original franchise.

Backed by Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door Productions, the sequel was distributed by Paramount Pictures in partnership with Domain Entertainment.

Since its premiere, The Naked Gun has opened to $17 million domestically and has already surpassed the $100 million mark worldwide.
