Prince William admits 'sleep' is an important part of his life as a dad of three kids

Prince William has shared one of his most personal admissions yet, telling Hollywood star Eugene Levy that “life is sent to test us” during an emotional sit-down for Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler.

Filmed at Windsor Castle and inside a local pub, the Prince of Wales reflected on the past 19 months, describing 2024 as “the hardest year I’ve ever had.”

He was referencing the dual cancer diagnoses of both King Charles and Princess Kate, which were revealed within weeks of each other.

While Kate confirmed in January that she is in remission, the King remains in treatment. Neither has disclosed details of their conditions.

“Being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are,” William told Levy in the candid moment.

The episode also shows lighter scenes, with the prince greeting Levy on his electric scooter, which he reportedly bought in 2023 to travel between Adelaide Cottage and Windsor.

Asked what he does at home, William quipped: “Sleep! When you’ve got three small children, sleep is an important part of my life.”
