Meghan Markle slammed over lavish lifestyle as she steps out wearing $170k jewelry

Meghan Markle is under fire after stepping out in dazzling diamonds and designer fashion at Kevin Costner’s One805LIVE! charity gala, with experts warning she risks alienating the very public she wants to connect with.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, wore a £2,300 Carolina Herrera halterneck gown, accessorized with a Cartier Tank Française watch, a $7,000 Cartier Love bracelet, a $5,000 Jennifer Meyer tennis bracelet, and her $160,000 engagement ring. 

The Daily Mail reported her jewelry alone added up to several times the average annual salary.

Crisis PR expert Ryan McCormick told the outlet: “Wearing that kind of expensive jewelry communicates, ‘I am in the upper class.’ There’s a conflict between her message of being relatable and the image she projects.”

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield also argued Meghan is missing her audience. “Her team seems to think her target is traditional royal watchers, but that group largely views her as disloyal. 

Her natural audience is Gen Z and Millennials, and why they’d want overpriced jam is unclear.”
