Sarah Ferguson has officially sold her £4.2 million Belgravia townhouse, just three years after purchasing the luxury property.
The Duchess of York, 65, had been renting out the two-bedroom home for a reported £4,000 a week, but was persuaded to part with it after her tenant made an unexpected offer to buy.
Sarah bought the London property in 2022, with her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie listed on the Land Registry documents.
The home was purchased using funds inherited from the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, making it a family investment.
Her spokesperson, James Henderson, explained to The Times: “She wasn’t looking to sell it but was asked by the tenant to buy it and it seemed like a good time. It’s an investment property for her girls, and the monies will be reinvested accordingly.”
Fergie continues to live at Royal Lodge in Windsor with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, despite reports that King Charles hopes to relocate the pair from the sprawling 30-room residence.
The sale comes as Sarah faces renewed scrutiny over resurfaced Jeffrey Epstein emails, where she once referred to him as her “supreme friend.”
