Meghan Markle has been warned she could soon face a “very difficult decision” as Prince Harry’s return to the UK draws closer.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, will travel to London on September 8 to attend the WellChild Awards, an event he has supported for years but his wife is not expected to join him.
The date marks the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, making the visit even more poignant.
Royal commentators say Harry may also reunite with his father, King Charles, for the first time since February 2024, fuelling speculation of a possible reconciliation.
However, Meghan has admitted that her last UK visit for the Queen’s funeral in 2022 left her feeling “not well,” as it meant nearly three weeks away from her children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe believes this could create long-term challenges if Harry continues to visit Britain.
“Meghan clearly hates being apart from her children,” Larcombe told GB News. “If Harry starts to reconcile with his family, Meghan will ultimately face an exceedingly difficult choice.”
Talks between the Sussexes’ team and King Charles’ communications secretary earlier this summer have already sparked hopes of progress.
