Meghan Markle has raised eyebrows after using Prince Harry’s royal title to show off a gift she bought for his 40th birthday.
In episode seven of the second season of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, revealed that she presented Harry with a blue baseball cap embroidered with “PH40.”
The initials stand for Prince Harry, while the number marks his milestone age.
The choice of wording surprised some fans, as the couple stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020 and Meghan has typically referred to her husband simply as “H” in public.
While packing for a trip to Florida with her friend Heather Dorak, Meghan proudly held up the cap for viewers, explaining it was one of the “things that bring me joy.”
Alongside the cap, she showed family photographs and even revealed she packs fabric softener sheets between her clothes when traveling.
Reflecting on her own life milestones, Meghan told Heather: “It’s really awesome to be in your 40s. We just settled into a different… era.”
The subtle nod to Harry’s royal title follows Meghan’s first-season correction of Mindy Kaling, when she insisted: “You know I’m Sussex now.”
