Channing Tatum, Oscar Isaac, and Zazie Beets are teaming up for a New York-based crime thriller film, Kockroach.
As per Deadline, the movie is based on William Lashner’s 2007 novel of the same title, which he wrote under the pen name Tyler Knox.
The feature will be directed by Matt Ross and produced by Mad Chance; the principal photography is scheduled to begin in Australia in January.
Notably, Kockroach is scripted by Jonathan Ames and will follow the story of a stranger (possibly played by Tatum) who takes on New York’s criminal elite. He transforms himself into a crime boss in a city where power is everything.
Though details of the film’s release and other cast members are being kept under wraps, fans can expect it to be revealed during the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.
The novel is said to be a reimagining of Franz Kafka’s 1915 novella, Metamorphosis, and has been praised as ‘inventively hilarious.’
For the unversed, Tatum recently landed a big role in the Japanese anime English-dubbed film, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. He voices Keizo, the martial arts teacher who taught Akaza.
On the other hand, netizens will see Isaac portray the scientist, Victor Frankenstein, in the upcoming Guillermo Del Toro’s film, Frankenstein.
Yes, Marvel Studios confirmed Channing Tatum will return as Gambit in Avengers: Doomsday after his character was introduced in Deadpool & Wolverine and received positive reviews from fans.
