Prince Harry could finally share his perspective on his late mother’s life if he goes ahead with a rumoured Netflix documentary about Princess Diana, according to an expert.
Reports last week suggested that the Duke of Sussex, 40, may be considering producing a documentary to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Diana’s tragic death in 2027.
While critics warn such a project could deepen Harry’s rift with the royal family, brand and culture expert Nick Ede believes it could actually be the “right move” for the prince.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Ede said: “Harry producing a documentary on his mother 30 years since she passed away is a good thing for him and Netflix."
"He will be able to tell his side of the story first hand and if anyone should author a documentary on his beloved mother it’s him.”
However, the potential series could spark fresh tension with Prince William, 43, who has reportedly not spoken to Harry since the release of his bombshell memoir Spare in 2023.
“Harry and his brother made a pact to keep her memory sacred, so William may see this as a betrayal,” Ede added.
Despite the risks, the expert concluded that Harry is “best placed” to protect his mother’s legacy through such a project.
