Prince Harry’s rumoured next project with Netflix could spark fresh tensions within the royal family, especially with his brother Prince William.
Reports last week suggested the Duke of Sussex, 40, is considering producing a documentary about his late mother, Princess Diana, to mark the 30th anniversary of her tragic death in 2027.
While Harry has previously spoken about Diana in documentaries, this would be the first he produces as part of his renewed Netflix deal with wife Meghan Markle.
An industry insider told The Sun: “If Harry wants to do it then Netflix will bite his hand off.”
However, royal expert Nick Ede believes such a move could be seen as a “betrayal” by Prince William, 43.
He told Express.co.uk: “Harry and his brother made a pact to keep her memory sacred and to preserve it in the best possible way, so William may see this as a betrayal and a way of cashing in on the anniversary.”
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams added that a Diana documentary could deepen the already strained rift between Harry and the Firm.
The brothers have reportedly been estranged since the release of Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare in 2023.
