Will Prince Harry reunite with Prince William upon UK return?

Prince Harry is set to finally reunite with King Charles in London next month, marking their first meeting in 20 months. 

However, hopes of a wider family reconciliation remain slim as Prince William has reportedly “rejected outright” any attempt to mend ties with his younger brother.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, will return to the UK on September 8 for the WellChild Awards, an annual event he has supported for years. 

The visit coincides with the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. 

With Charles remaining in the country due to ongoing cancer treatment, insiders believe the timing is right for a private father-son meeting.

A palace source told The Mirror: “This is not about grand gestures. It’s about a simple face-to-face conversation between a father and son. There is a genuine sense that reconciliation is possible, at least between Charles and Harry.”

While Harry pushes for a reset, Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will stay in California due to security concerns. 

The King has not seen his grandchildren since the Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

Yet, William remains unmoved. 

A royal insider said: “The issue is trust. Harry has chosen publicity over privacy too many times. Until that changes, reconciliation is impossible.”
