Prince Harry may be open to resuming some royal responsibilities but only under the right circumstances, according to an expert.
Speaking to Daily Express US, award-winning podcaster and culture critic Kristen Meinzer suggested that the Duke of Sussex “never intended to fully give up” his senior royal duties and could consider a part-time return to the UK.
“In a perfect world, he and Meghan would have been able to do what Edward and Sophie did - pursue their passions while still serving the crown,” Meinzer said, noting that the late Queen Elizabeth rejected their request.
She added: “But Charles is not his mother. If he arranged duties with flexibility and safety, I think Harry and Meghan would certainly consider it.”
The Sussexes now live in California with their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
Yet, Meinzer stressed Harry still wants his family to “know and love his homeland,” which is why he has pushed to reinstate UK security.
Reports also suggest King Charles has quietly kept Frogmore Cottage available as a “silent invite” for Harry’s return, despite revoking their lease last year.
