Princess Beatrice is embracing a more modern path within the royal family.
The daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the 36-year-old royal has balanced life as a non-working royal with her professional career while also building a contemporary family dynamic with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The couple wed in a small, private ceremony at Windsor’s Royal Lodge in July 2020, and Beatrice became the first of her royal generation to step into the role of stepmother.
Edo’s son, Christopher Woolf, affectionately called Wolfie, is now nine and shares a close bond with Beatrice, who also welcomed two daughters, Sienna, three, and Athena, now eight months.
Close friend Juliet Angus praised the couple in HELLO!, calling them “the sweetest” and adding: “I love their relationship and how cute and modern they are. I love that they’re a blended family - rules don’t have to be such big rules anymore.”
Beatrice has previously said being a stepmother is a “great honour,” while Wolfie’s mother, Dara Huang, also spoke warmly of their co-parenting arrangement.
Despite not being a working royal, Beatrice holds an important constitutional role as a Counsellor of State and also carries Italian noble titles through her marriage.
