Cardi B, who recently released her single Imaginary Playerz, dropped an alternate album cover of Am I The Drama? ahead of release.
While the song of the 32-year-old singer has seemingly flopped, the new artwork added fuel to the fire.
After the WAP hitmaker gave a sneak peek of her pink cover, fans instantly rushed to compare it with that of Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2.
In the new album's art, the Grammy winner is rocking in pink attire with a dramatic touch of extra pair of hands, seemingly mimicking a flamingo.
On the other hand, the Bang Bang hitmaker's cover featured the singer standing with a side pose, dressed in a stiff, web-like pink dress.
One of the X users poked fun at her for “Copying Nicki to stay relevant lol.” While another stated that the Up crooner “wanna be Nicki so bad.”
However, many die-hard fans appreciated the look of the upcoming project, insisting: “This one actually looks really good and should have served as the main one.”
While the only similarity between the two is the choice of colour, copying album cover can result in copyright issues. This is because the face of the record is distinctive and unique to the artist.
Although Cardi and Nicki were embroiled in a feud previously, the intensity of their conflict has faded away. However, the two got into a physical altercation during 2018 New York Fashion Week party.
