Will Smith recently came under fire for using an AI crowd to share a glimpse of his Based on a True Story tour in the United Kingdom.
The clip was shared on the 56-year-old actor’s official YouTube channel, which showed a crowd cheering Smith.
However, the video depicted some people with blurred and distorted faces, while others had oddly shaped hands with six fingers.
He captioned the post, “My favourite part of the tour is seeing you all up close. Thank you for seeing me, too.”
Netizens were quick to notice the AI incorporation in the video and took to the comment section to point it out. One fan wrote, “They look like lizards in horrible human suits! Another follower penned, “This is pathetic.”
Notably, the Bad Boys lead is currently on his UK tour, which supports his latest album, Based on a True Story, released on March 28, 2025.
Will Smith’s first-ever headline UK tour began on August 24 and is expected to conclude on August 30 in Wolverhampton.
Will Smith has released five studio albums. He put out his debut album, Big Willie Style, in 1997 and recently dropped his latest track list, Based on a True Story.
