Drake marked his support for Tory Lanez in a comment on social media, which soon turned into something bigger as the man in the post, Rob Markman ended up responding.

The Nokia rapper took to his Instagram and made fun of the journalist under a resurfaced clip of him interviewing Tory Lanez, in which the now-jailed rapper was flexing his hip-hop knowledge by quoting song lyrics.

The Say It singer then asked the interviewer to complete a verse from the song that was sung by the 5-time Grammy winner, which Rob stumbled upon.

In the comments under the clip, Drake, who goes by the username “chamagnepapi” left a comment writing, “Of course this Goof Markman couldn’t finish the bar… free Tory.”

The In My Feelings rapper’s remark earned a hot response from the interviewer who stated, “@champgnepapi but if I start callin you names you gonna sue me [teary-eyed laughing face emoji].”

Rob is referencing the Hotline Bling hitmaker’s ongoing lawsuit with his record label Universal Music records (UMG) which he initiated, claiming they boosted Kendrick Lamar’s diss Not Like Us.

Notably, Kendrick is also signed under the same label and UMG has publicly responded to the Family Matters singer, saying that his claims are baseless and ridiculous.

When did Drake sue UMG?

The 38-year-old filed a lawsuit against UMG in November for allegedly conspiring to inflate streaming figures of Lamar’s Not Like Us.
