Drake has recently paid a tribute to Tupac Shakur by flashing a chain originally owned by the now-deceased singer, effectively splitting the internet in half.

The 5-time Grammy winner took to his Instagram to post a carousel of images, with one of the Poetic Justice star being put at the forefront.

In the slides following, it is made clear that the What Did I Miss? rapper has purchased the chain worn by the prominent figure in the first image.

The blinged-out Death Row Records chain also had the words “All Eyez on YOU, 1996” engrained in the back.

Drake tagged the collector from whom he bought the highly expensive piece of jewelry, marking his second item from the pieces Tupac used to wear before his untimely and tragic death the same year as the engraving on the pendant.

The conversation around the situation has internet users writing things like “Pac would’ve hated Drake as much as DMX did,” to others noting, “Dang you got the ring and the chain sheeesh,” with a fire emoji.

Meanwhile others bought his rap rival, Kendrick Lamar into the mix since he referenced the hip-hop legend in his famous diss track against Drake, named Not Like Us.

What did Kendrick Lamar say about Tupac Shakur?

Kendrick has repeatedly slammed Drake for associating with Tupac, singing in Not Like Us, "You think the Bay gon' let you disrespect Pac, n***a? /I think that Oakland show gon' be your last stop, n***a” referring to the latter using AI to mimic Pac’s voice.
