Charli XCX set to drop new song 'Camera': Release date and time

Charli XCX has surprised fans with the announcement of a brand-new single as she counts down to the release of her upcoming album Music, Fashion, Film.

The 33-year-old pop star took to social media to reveal that her new track titled "Camera" along with its accompanying music video will be released on Tuesday.

Sharing a black-and-white teaser clip from the music video Charli wrote, "camera song and video drops tomorrow at 10:30am pt/1:30pm et/6:30pm bst. happy Music, Fashion, Film week."

The release comes just days before her seventh studio album Music, Fashion, Film arrives on Friday, July 24 offering fans another preview of the highly anticipated record.

Speaking previously about the project the BRAT hitmaker said she wanted to "flip the form" and experiment with a fresh sound after becoming closely associated with electropop and dance-pop music.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with excitement following the announcement.

"i alone will be getting this song to 10 million streams i dont play around with camera," one fan joked.

Another wrote "AY couldnt wait any longer girl," while a third added, "camera will be on repeat omg."

With Music, Fashion, Film just days away anticipation continues to build as Charli prepares to unveil what she has described as a bold new creative direction.
