Leigh-Anne Pinnock recently opened up about working as an independent artist days after releasing her brand new solo single, Burning Up.

In conversation with NME (New Musical Express), the British musician admitted that she’s 'very happy' with her decision to start a new chapter of her life.

She said, “It's everything that I wanted it to be. It’s the mix of the sounds that I love, paired with my Leigh-Anne pop stamp." Pinnock confessed that she always wanted to find a balance in musical genres like R&B and reggae.

The 33-year-old singer further added, “I played with my voice in ways I never have before with different textures, phrasing, pushing my range.”

Netizens rushed to social media to express their sentiments about her decision. One fan wrote, “Proud of you!!” Another well-wisher penned, “omg I’ll listen to anything you drop.”

Notably, on August 24, the Don’t Say Love hitmaker headlined the 'Reading and Leeds Festival' in England alongside pop stars like Chappell Roan and Travis Scott.

For the unversed, Leigh-Anne Pinnock was signed to Warner Records as a solo artist in 2022 but left to pursue her career as an independent artist. She has since worked with other labels like Virgin Music.
