Meghan Markles As Ever drop sparks outrage: Random fruit spread wont save it

Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever has faced fresh criticism after the Duchess of Sussex unveiled its latest product drop.

Coinciding with the release of season two of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the Duchess, 44, announced a “next seasonal product drop” on social media, which includes a new “delectable fruit spread” along with other upcoming autumn offerings.

Meghan teased more products to be revealed in the coming weeks.

But while the launch was intended to generate excitement, royal fans quickly voiced their frustration.

One critic fumed online: “I’m sorry, but no brand can be floated forever by a random fruit spread being dropped every once in a while.”

Another added: “Meghan should thank her lucky stars Harry agreed to marry her, as his title is the only thing floating this mess of a brand and business at this point.”

The backlash comes as Meghan’s brand continues to face questions over its direction and long-term viability.

Although her supporters argue As Ever reflects her personal passion for wellness, cooking, and sustainability, detractors say the releases lack cohesion and purpose.

Whether the new product drop helps As Ever establish itself as a serious lifestyle label remains to be seen.
