Meghan Markle’s Netflix future has come under fire after celebrity chef Jameson Stocks launched a scathing critique of her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, returned to screens this week with eight new episodes featuring floral soap-making, vegan curries, and a cooking session with restaurateur David Chang.
She also appeared alongside podcaster Jay Shetty and his wife to make traditional naan. But Stocks, who has cooked for King Charles, told the Daily Express that the show lacks impact.
“I think Meghan Markle needs Netflix more than Netflix need her,” he said bluntly, adding that she is “becoming a bit of a liability.”
According to the chef, audience figures show Meghan struggles to connect with viewers.
“Maybe an actual chat show would be better suited. A lifestyle show doesn’t work with her at the helm.”
While Stocks admitted the Sussexes still hold a level of respect, he stressed that authenticity is what builds credibility.
He added that audiences remain more interested in Prince Harry than Meghan.
“Viewers mainly tuned in hoping to catch a glimpse of Harry. The first season felt staged, overthought, and lacked genuine substance.”
The chef even predicted Meghan might pivot to a talk show format but doubted whether she’d succeed, suggesting she prefers being the focus rather than spotlighting guests.
