Kate Middleton, Prince William, Meghan Markle celebrate Taylor Swift's engagement

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement announcement has not only sent shockwaves across Hollywood but also reached the British royals. 

The pop superstar and her NFL fiancé confirmed their engagement on Instagram on August 26, and eagle-eyed fans noticed some royal support in the “likes.”

Among those celebrating were the Prince and Princess of Wales, whose joint account acknowledged the couple’s happy news. 

Meghan Markle also quietly showed approval from her personal Instagram handle, @meghan, making it a rare crossover moment between the royals and the Duchess of Sussex.

It’s no surprise William and Kate are Team Swift. 

The heir to the throne attended the London stop of Swift’s Eras Tour in June 2024, bringing along Prince George and Princess Charlotte. 

The trio were seen dancing to Shake It Off and even posed for a backstage selfie with Swift and Kelce, a snap that went viral as the couple’s first official Instagram photo together.

Meanwhile, Meghan was one of the first royals spotted at an Eras Tour concert. 

She attended Swift’s SoFi Stadium show in Los Angeles in August 2023 with close friend Lucy Fraser, where she enthusiastically sang along to You Belong With Me.
