Prince Archie played key role in Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's new Netflix project
Harry and Meghan were not involved in filming and are not believed to have visited Ugand
Prince Archie has been revealed as the unlikely inspiration behind Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix project, according to reports.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, through Archewell Productions, recently signed a new multi-year first-look deal with the streaming giant, announcing several upcoming projects.
Among them is Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within, a documentary short produced in collaboration with Campfire Studios and Wontanara Productions.
The film will spotlight a small Ugandan orphanage born out of the HIV/AIDS crisis.
According to The Telegraph, Harry and Meghan were already familiar with the Masaka Kids long before the documentary came their way in 2023.
A spokesperson revealed: “They would watch the videos regularly with Archie at home. They were already admirers of the organisation before the film project came to them.”
The couple, listed as producers, were instantly drawn to the children’s deeper stories after recognising them from their viral dance videos.
Though Harry and Meghan were not involved in filming and are not believed to have visited Uganda, they felt compelled to support the project.
The documentary is set for release later this year, with Netflix calling it a celebration of resilience, community, and joy through dance.
