Prince Andrew has joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral for the royal family’s traditional summer holiday, despite fresh humiliating claims resurfacing about his past.
The Duke of York, 65, is staying at Craigowan Lodge, one of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite retreats on the Balmoral Estate, alongside his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, also 65.
Their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are expected to arrive later with their families.
The royal gathering comes just days after author Andrew Lownie’s explosive new book Entitled sparked controversy with fresh claims about Andrew’s scandals, including an alleged fight with Prince Harry, denied by Harry’s team, and lurid details of the Duke’s links to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, who allegedly once called Andrew a “serial sex addict.”
Despite the backlash, the King extended a personal invitation to Andrew and Sarah, described by insiders as “a huge show of support.”
Other senior royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales with their three children, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with their family, are also set to join the King in Scotland.
Charles and Camilla are expected to remain at Balmoral until mid-September, continuing the late Queen’s cherished summer tradition.
