Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly faced a major blow in their ongoing partnership with Netflix.
According to royal expert Richard Eden, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were dealt "a slap in the face" after Netflix signed a new first-look deal with the couple.
This means the streaming giant will only pay them if and when their ideas are green-lit for production.
Eden highlighted that Prince Harry previously told Oprah Winfrey he needed money quickly after losing financial support from the royal family.
Their past multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify were seen as major wins, but this new contract suggests a shift in power.
"It's definitely a slap in the face," Eden claimed on Palace Confidential.
"What Harry would want is another deal he could boast to Oprah about, how much it's worth."
The downgrade in deal terms hints that the Sussexes may no longer hold the same influence in Hollywood they once did.
