Meghan Markle kept Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet off camera in With Love, Meghan, but the kids still played sweet behind-the-scenes roles.
A production insider told PEOPLE that whenever Prince Harry stopped by set he was “super polite and friendly,” but clearly wanted the spotlight on Meghan.
As for the kids: “She was super attentive and doting on them. We’d give them headphones so they could listen to the audio,” the crew member said.
Meghan herself revealed that Archie handled the filming clapboard for a take, “Sweet moments,” she shared, while Lilibet got hands-on in the kitchen.
In episode five, Meghan told guests Abigail Spencer and Kelly McKee Zajfen that Lili helped make strawberry preserve, proudly insisting, “No, no mama, I’ll do it.”
After Meghan bravely downed a full bite of chef Roy Choi’s kimchi, she laughed that Lili does a happy little sway whenever she loves what she’s eating.
The family remains largely private at home in Montecito, but these small glimpses show how Meghan folds motherhood into her creative world.
Season two of With Love, Meghan lands August 26 on Netflix with eight new episodes, following news that Meghan and Harry inked a multi-year first-look deal with the streamer.
