A fresh round of royal comparison hit the internet after Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle dropped new videos on the same day, and one commentator says the contrast “proves” why Kate is the royal ideal Meghan “could never be.”

In a seasonal clip from Kensington Palace’s Mother Nature series, the Princess of Wales urges viewers to “cherish the bonds of love and friendship,” keeping the spotlight on community and the outdoors. 

Meanwhile, Meghan’s teaser for With Love, Meghan season 2 leans into star power, featuring Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, Jay Shetty and Radhi Devlukia, chefs Samin Nosrat, Clare Smyth, Christina Tosi, José Andrés, David Chang, and close friends Jamie Kern Lima, Heather Dorak, and Daniel Martin.

The Telegraph’s Judith Woods argues the split-screen moment sums up their approaches: Kate “lets others shine,” while Meghan “craves to be the star.” 

Woods says Kate’s quiet charisma is rooted in service and collaboration, the “team ethos” of the royal family, whereas Meghan’s performer edge is built for celebrity, not the Firm.

Woods adds that if Meghan seeks a full image reset, she could “take her cue” from Kate’s consistency: steady causes over splashy moments.
