Buckingham Palace released King Charles' delightful statement as he joined his son, Prince William, to celebrate exciting news.
For the unversed, England's Lionesses beat Spain in the final of Women's Euro 2025, leaving the Britons and the royal family amused.
In a personal message, King Charles wrote, "This brings you, your manager and all your support team my most heartfelt congratulations on winning the EUROS 2025."
"For more years than I care to remember, England fans have sung that famous chant 'football's coming home'. As you return home with the trophy you won at Wembley three years ago, it is a source of great pride that, through sporting skill and awesome teamwork, the Lionesses have made those words ring true. For this, you have my whole family's warmest appreciation and admiration."
The monarch lauded the team for not lowering their morals due to previous setbacks, adding, "...there are no setbacks so tough that defeat cannot be transformed into victory, even as the final whistle looms."
At the end of his note, Prince Harry's father said, "Well done, Lionesses. The next task is to bring home the World Cup in 2027 if you possibly can!"
It is important to note that Prince William, alongside Princess Charlotte, witnessed the nail-biting match between England and Spain at St. Jakob-Park Stadium in Switzerland.
Following the major win, the future King and the only daughter of Wales family made a joint statement for the first time, congratulating the Lionesses.
