Netflix wants to keep Prince Harry, Meghan Markle connection, despite deal ending

Just when it seemed like their time with Netflix was over, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly made a quiet comeback, with a brand-new first look agreement.

Despite their $100 million five-year contract coming to an end this September, a royal insider says Netflix isn’t cutting ties completely with the Sussexes. In fact, the streaming giant still sees them as big players.

Brand expert Nick Ede told HELLO! that Meghan and Harry have now entered a “first look” deal with Netflix.

“First look deals are typically reserved for the biggest stars,” Ede explained.

“Netflix doesn’t want to lose their connection with Harry and Meghan. Even if some of their shows didn’t hit the mark, they’re still publicity gold.”

While their docu-series Harry & Meghan remains one of the platform’s biggest blockbusters, follow-up projects like Heart of Invictus, Polo, and With Love, Meghan have flopped, drawing lukewarm interest and disappointing numbers.

The lifestyle show reportedly racked up just 5.3 million views, ranking 383rd on Netflix for 2025.

Still, the second season of With Love, Meghan is expected to drop later this year.

A source told The Sun: “There’s no animosity from either side. Things have just run their course.”
