Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just got a savage reality check, from a PR expert who says she wouldn’t go near them with a ten-foot pole.
In the wake of reports that Netflix is pulling the plug on their £78 million deal, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have found themselves in the firing line again, this time from Renae Smith, founder of top PR firm The Atticism.
“Everything they touch turns to dust,” Smith told Express. “They’re starting to feel like damaged goods. It’s the opposite of the Midas touch.”
“Could they produce something on their own? Sure, they have the money. But will any major platform touch them now? I highly doubt it.”
“I wouldn’t advise a single client of mine to get involved with them. No way in hell.”
The scathing comments come as Harry and Meghan’s recent Netflix projects, including With Love, Meghan, Polo, and Heart of Invictus, failed to capture viewers the way their explosive 2022 docu-series Harry & Meghan did.
While the couple signed their five-year Netflix deal in 2020 amid massive hype, interest has since plummeted.
Their cooking show didn’t even crack the top 300 most-watched programs of 2025, and their doc on polo, a passion project for Harry, barely made a ripple.
