Prince Andrew suffered a huge setback despite receiving a big relief from the FBI in relation to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
There are strong claims that King Charles' feelings about not fulfilling his brother's wish for a royal return remain unchanged.
For the unversed, the FBI confirmed not pursuing any third-party charges in the infamous sex offender's case, which Andrew found "optimistic" as it helps him to get back to public life.
However, royal commentator Bronte Coy told Sky News Australia that the monarch and Britons are not accepting Andrew back to the royal fold.
She said, "The reports are that technically, the FBI are not pursuing any third-party charges (in relation to the Epstein case), and it seems that, in that regard, that shadow that has been cast over Andrew over the last few years is over now."
The royal expert added, "But when it comes to his royal duties and public life, nothing has changed."
"There's no appetite from the British public for him to return to Royal duties," Coy said. And there seems to be no appetite at all from The King," Bronte further said.
It is important to note that Prince Andrew often made it to the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The Duke portrayed the royals in a negative light since his association with Jeffrey Epstein and alleged involvement in a spy scandal, causing a feud between King Charles and him.
