Meghan Markle goes quiet on Instagram, fuelling rumours of royal strategy

Meghan Markle has left fans scratching their heads after mysteriously going silent on Instagram, and now, royal and brand experts are weighing in on what’s really going on.

The Duchess of Sussex had been actively updating her personal account since rejoining the platform in January, sharing sweet glimpses into her life, her children, and her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

But her last post, a July 4 cupcake-making snapshot, was over two weeks ago. Since then, radio silence.

Brand expert Nick Ede told Express.co.uk the lull is likely strategic.

“She could be building momentum,” he said. “If she’s sold out of stock, there’s no need to push the brand right now, promoting it might even backfire.”

Ede also suggested Meghan might be struggling to juggle her personal page and her brand’s account. “With social media, consistency is everything, and right now, she doesn’t seem to be grasping that.”

Meanwhile, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes the silence might be tactical, and potentially tied to recent behind-the-scenes royal developments.

“Meghan’s Instagram silence is curious,” he said. “It may be linked to talks between King Charles and Prince Harry. If leaks about a ‘peace summit’ were intentional, they’ve certainly shifted media focus.”
