Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again under fire, this time accused of “looking for handouts” from King Charles after reports that their $100 million Netflix deal is coming to an end.
According to royal expert Robert Jobson, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be scrambling to secure their next financial move as their lavish Montecito lifestyle faces a serious funding gap.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Jobson claimed the couple’s reported “peace summit” with palace aides may have had less to do with reconciliation, and more to do with finances. “Where does it leave them?” he said.
“Probably with a bit of a bowl out, looking for some handouts.”
The meeting, which took place in London earlier this month, involved Sussex reps Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire, and Tobyn Andreae, King Charles’s communications chief.
Neither Harry nor the King attended, but it’s believed the sit-down happened with their blessing.
Just months ago, Harry told the BBC that he would “love” to reconcile with his family, but Jobson isn’t convinced it’s all about healing wounds.
“Maybe that’s why they were here,” he said. “I don’t know.”
