Is Prince Harry’s sudden olive branch to King Charles a heartfelt move or a strategic play?
Earlier this month, two of Harry’s top aides were spotted in London meeting King Charles’ communications chief, Tobyn Andreae, reportedly with both men’s blessing.
The meeting has fuelled hopes of a royal reconciliation. But according to royal commentator Lydia Alty, the timing couldn’t be more suspicious.
Just days after the meeting, it was reported that Harry and Meghan’s £78 million Netflix deal will not be renewed when it expires in September, potentially a major financial blow to the Sussexes.
“Public interest in the ‘Harry and Meghan show’ is clearly waning,” Alty told The Celeb Post.
“It’s no coincidence Harry is suddenly showing interest in reconciling with his family just as these high-profile media deals are starting to fall apart.”
The Sussexes haven’t commented publicly on the Netflix fallout or the family meeting, and King Charles has remained equally tight-lipped.
