Prince George has built a powerful bond with his 'best friend' Prince William

Prince George may only be 12, but royal insiders say he’s already formed a powerful bond that could shape his future as king, and it’s with none other than his father, Prince William.

As the young royal celebrates his birthday, experts reveal that George’s strongest and most influential relationship is with his dad, a man 31 years his senior, but someone George sees not only as a parent, but as his “royal best friend.”

Former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond told Express.co.uk: “George has been brought up in a bubble of love."

"He has great role models in his parents and grandparents. Like his father, he has a huge and unique destiny ahead.”

Royal author Duncan Larcombe added: “George is obviously in awe of William. We’ve seen him dressed as a little mini-me of his dad at public events, it's clear how much he looks up to him.”

Joe Little, editor of Majesty Magazine, notes the Prince and Princess of Wales are intentionally giving George a more private upbringing than William had, while still slowly preparing him for public life.
