Meghan Markle may be bracing for more bad news as the podcast company behind her latest venture is reportedly facing a major shake-up.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, launched her second podcast Confessions of a Female Founder in April 2025 with Lemonada Media, a Minnesota-based podcast studio known for its emotional storytelling and female-driven content.
But now, the company is being acquired by Swedish media conglomerate PodX Group, according to Page Six.
While Meghan’s first podcast Archetypes was produced by Spotify before the deal abruptly ended, her second try seemed to mark a fresh start. Confessions features conversations with female entrepreneurs about the highs and lows of launching a business, but its future may now be unclear amid the acquisition.
Lemonada Media, founded in 2019 after its co-founders endured the tragic loss of their brothers, has built a solid brand with hits like Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and The Sarah Silverman Podcast.
But PodX’s global expansion, which includes studios across France, Argentina, and the UK, could mean significant changes to its existing lineup.
With Meghan also juggling her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard and raising her two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, sources say she may now be reevaluating her next media move.
