Meghan Markle has been shortlisted for a major podcast award, despite it receiving mixed reactions from the public.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, released her second podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder, earlier this year on Lemonada Media. Now, the show has landed a nomination at the 4th Annual Signal Awards in the Business & Culture category.
Lemonada Media celebrated the news on Instagram, writing: “We’ve been nominated for THREE @signalawards. Best Host: Hasan Minhaj. Business & Culture: Confessions of a Female Founder with @meghan. Self-Improvement: My So-Called Midlife with Reshma Saujani. It’s an honor to be recognized.”
Guests on Meghan’s podcast included Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, Girls Who Code’s Reshma Saujani, Tina Knowles of Cécred, and Spanx billionaire Sara Blakely.
Despite the star power, the series was met with harsh reviews in the UK, with The Telegraph calling it “insane” and The Times branding it a “self-love exercise.”
