Kate Middleton and Prince William invited on major Australia tour

Kate Middleton and Prince William could be heading to a major royal tour soon after receiving a major invitation from Australia’s Prime Minister.

Anthony Albanese confirmed there is a “standing invitation” for the Prince and Princess of Wales to embark on a royal tour of Australia in the near future. 

The Australian leader made the remarks following his official audience with King Charles at Balmoral, where the two discussed ties between the monarchy and Australia.

“It was wonderful to welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla to Australia recently,” Albanese said. 

“That visit was very successful and His Majesty is very engaged. I hope the Prince and Princess of Wales are able to visit as well, and we are hopeful that might occur in the coming period.”

If confirmed, this would be William and Kate’s first major international royal tour since their controversial Caribbean trip in 2022 for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
