Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may face an emotional dilemma this Christmas as the Royal Family prepares for its annual gathering at Sandringham.
The York sisters, 36 and 34, are said to be in a “very difficult” position following the latest scandals surrounding their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
Royal insiders claim King Charles has already made it clear that Andrew and Fergie will not be welcome at Sandringham this year, after fresh controversy surrounding the Duchess of York’s resurfaced emails to Jeffrey Epstein, in which she described him as her “supreme friend.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail, royal author Phil Dampier explained: “If they are not invited or decide not to go, then it will be very difficult for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie."
"They may feel it would be unfair of them to go when their parents aren’t there, and it simply rubs salt in their wounds.”
While King Charles reportedly has a “soft spot” for his nieces, he is said to be under pressure to keep Andrew and Sarah “invisible” at family occasions.
