The Summer I Turned Pretty’s third and final season is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on July 16 and fans are already buzzing on what’s to come.
The show which was greenlit for its last season back in August 3, 2023, left viewers on a major cliffhanger in Season 2.
In a July interview with Teen Vogue, the lead actress, Lola Tung addressed the intense fan reactions urging them to keep calm no matter how the story ends.
“I’m so grateful that they [fans] care so much, but people get a little scary about it. Please don’t threaten to kill someone if something doesn’t go your way—I promise you, it’s not that serious,” she said.
Tung assured fans that the finale will meet their expectations, saying, “Jenny [Han] is so smart and she cares so much about the story and making it the best story that it can be. It will be okay.”
Based on Jenny Han’s bestselling novels, the series follows 16-year-old Belly Conklin as she navigates a messy love triangle between two brothers, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney).
Aside from the series regulars, new recurring cast members will include, Sofia Bryant, Lily Donoghue, Zoé de Grand’Maison, Emma Ishta, and Tanner Zagarino.
Notably, the third season will drop new episodes weekly until September 17, giving fans plenty of time to savor the coming of age drama.
