The long-awaited animated comedy series South Park has been removed from Paramount+ outside the U.S. as its licensing deal expired, leaving its streaming future uncertain.

This latest setback for animated movie fans' highlights escalating tensions surrounding the show's valuable streaming rights.

In the US, South Park remains available on HBO Max despite its domestic streaming deal also recently expiring. Negotiations for a new US deal are also underway.

However, the prime reason for the delay was the ongoing acquisition of Comedy Central's parent company, Paramount Global, by Skydance Media, which has undeniably complicated matters for the co-owners, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

Moreover, they have reportedly threatened legal action against Paramount, accusing the company’s incoming leadership of interfering with contract negotiations.

In addition, the creators of South Park Trey Parker and Matt Stone have publicly expressed their displeasure with the situation.

Fans’ can expect to watch their favorite South Park ‘s season 27 premiere by July 23, once the ongoing streaming rights and corporate complications get resolved.

How to watch the new South Park without Paramount?

The new episodes of South Park season 27 will initially be broadcast on Comedy Central. If you have cable TV or a live TV streaming service that includes Comedy Central (such as YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, Philo, FuboTV, etc.), you can watch them there as they air.
